AppId is over the quota
This topic has been on my mind for a while now. Why do so many people act as if they're more relevant then they really are? It's a behavior that doesn't make any sense to me. Since the launch of whosflytv.com we have attempted to contact several up and coming talents. We believe extraordinary talents should be exposed to the world. With all the great social networking platforms out there, it's now possible to virtually contact anyone. Surprisingly, we've attempted to contact a few up and coming talents (and I really want to stress the term up and coming) and many of them have been very Hollywood. Some do not respond to our invitations, some are inconsistent with their responses, some refer us to their managers and some say they have to research us. Why would an up and coming artist with a limited following not want to expose his/her talents to a new audience? Why wouldn't an up coming talent not want to begin to build their personal brand? Why wouldn't an up and coming talent not want to be in front of the camera every minute of every day? Tell me why? I know why, because they don't want to win!
Look at some of the most successful celebrities out there. People like: 50 Cent, Kim Kardashians (actually all of the Kardashians), Floyd Mayweather and so. These are some of the most successful people in their respective lanes and they're always in front of a camera, or in a magazine, or taking a phone interview. It's called great work ethic! The above mentioned celebrities time is far more limited then any up and coming talent and they still manage to get in front of the camera to do a feature interview. It's no secret to why they have been so successful and will continue to do so. These individuals understand every second in front of the camera, every interview is an opportunity to market themselves and add to their personal brand.
At the end of the day people put on this Hollywood facade because they have personal complexes with themselves. These people are insecure and paint this unrealistic picture that their bigger than they really are. So they parade around town like their rock stars, blow people off and forget about the art of networking. Well I can promise you two things, you will lose and this attitude will lead to your demise. Over here at whosflytv.com we don't get excited, we don't act Hollywood we're to hungry for that. There is no limit to our success, while some may be content with their little success, we'll be drinking red bull and pulling all-nighters. So if I can offer my advice to any up coming talent, I would say; Stay grounded, don't get a big head when someone requests an interview. Don't ignore anyone who is interested in your talent. Don't refer people to your manager when you really don't have or need a manager. Don't let any opportunities pass you by. Build your personal brand, expand your fan base act as if you're an hungry up and coming artist. Because by ignoring people and acting "Hollywood" not only have you lost a great opportunity you may have lost a fan. #REALITYCHECK. #Whosflytv.com #Hardworkbeatstalent.
