No Problem movie is comedy flick which revolves around three characters Yash (Sanjay Dutt), Raj (Akshaye Khanna) and Inspector Arjun Singh (Anil Kapoor).
Also in Durban, Inspector Arjun Singh (Anil Kapoor) is a quack cop who is always on his wife Kajal's (Sushmita Sen) hit list. Kajal is the daughter of the police commissioner (Shakti Kapoor) and has developed a severe case of multiple personality disorder, mainly because of discovering that her husband is a zero and not a hero. One moment she's the best wife in the world, the next she's bound to be on America's Most Wanted. Arjun is chasing after Marcos(Suniel Shetty), who's gang robbed diamonds worth millions of dollars, Raj falls in love with Kajal's younger sister Sanjana (Kangana Ranaut), and soon a madcap chase follows, forming the crux of this comedy. In Durban, Yash (Sanjay Dutt) and his best friend Raj (Akshaye Khanna) are two small time thieves, the former wanting to start fresh with an honest life and the latter wanting to continue living life as a thief with his plans always ending up Raj's plans. Yash robs a bank, but that also puts the suspicion on their neighbor and bank manager Zandulal (Paresh Rawal) that he robbed the bank himself. Soon, Zandulal swears that he will catch the two thieves and prove his innocence.
Review:
Anees Bazmee's comedy flick 'No Problem' hit the screens all over the country but failed to allure viewers because of its unconvincing comedy trials. Though the directors and producers boast of the movie as a comedy film, it couldn't make people roll with laughter.
The movie cast some big stars like Anil kapoor, Akshaye Khanna Sushmita Sen, Neetu Chandra, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. Also the music is composed by Sajid Wajid, Pritam Chakraborty and Anand Raj Anand.
The film presents two conmen, Yash (Sanjay Dutt) and Raj (Akshaye Khanna) who're backpacking in rural South Africa when they stumble into Zandulal (Paresh Rawal) who is the village chief/ bank manager/ teacher. Yash and Raj bring up the story of the film by robbing Zandu's bank and escaping to Durban and the whole movie revolves around these three characters mainly in which Zandu tries everything to retrieve his money.
While on run Raj falls in love with Sanjana played by Kangana Ranaut. Now, Sanjana is the sister of Kajal played by Sushmita Sen. and guess what? Kajal is the wife of a cop Arjun played by Anil Kapoor.
However, the conmen had spent the robbed money from Zandu's bank, so the duo along with Zandulal decide to rob another bank to make good.
Sunil Shetty (Marcos) and Neetu Chandra (Sophia) played the role of villains who wanted the diamonds stolen by the conmen.
Despite of big star cast, the movie could not bring the expected but can be watched if you are having nothing to pass time this weekend.
What's hot:
Full marks to the producers for making the film on such a grand scale despite knowing that the story didn't have a head or a tail. Bazmee, as usual, relies heavily on his screenplay to raise the laughs, which only happens a handful of times in the entire film. For a director who's known for his slapstick and loud humour, the surprising part is the few laughs come in only in the most subtle moments.
One really feels bad for all the actors who are the only saving grace. Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna and Paresh Rawal seem inspired and committed to their parts. Sushmita Sen manages to look stunning but doesn't have much to do in the film. Sunil Shetty is effective as the don. Neetu Chandra in a guest appearance shows sincerity. The scene-stealer of the film is Sanjay Dutt with his impeccable comic timing. He adds dignity to even the most ridiculous scenes.
