Survey of 2,400 Mobile Visitors to m.myxer.com Shows That 53 Percent Made Purchases From Their Mobile Phone With 19 Percent Saying They Made Between 2 and 5 Purchases a Month

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - Jul 11, 2011) - Myxer, a mobile technology company that operates the largest ad-supported mobile entertainment site in the U.S., today released the Myxer Q2 BoomBox Report on mCommerce revealing key findings in consumer's purchasing behavior among mobile shoppers. The report reinforces consumer's increasing reliance on smartphones for communications, entertainment, information and increasingly, shopping.

Based on a survey of 2,400 mobile visitors to m.myxer.com, 53 percent responded that they had made a purchase from their mobile phone. The largest group, 19 percent, said they made between 2 and 5 purchases a month. Surprisingly, 16 percent said that they make more than 10 purchases a month. Other key findings include the following:

Mobile Payments

Taking a closer look at the 53 percent who said they did indeed make purchases from their phone, 31 percent said they preferred to have their mobile purchases charged to their mobile phone bill while 18 percent said they preferred to pay by credit card. Broken down by age, younger mobile consumers clearly preferred paying on their phone bill. In the 18-24 year old age range, 38 percent preferred charging their phone bill, while only 14 percent preferred paying by credit card. In the 35-54 age range, the credit card was the preferred method of payment at 28 percent versus 23 percent for paying by phone bill. It is also interesting to note that within Android users who purchased, 27 percent preferred to use their credit card.

Music leads the charge for purchased mobile content

The report also revealed that music stood out as the clear leader of products being bought, representing 68 percent of mobile purchases. 5 percent of respondents who bought from their phones said they purchased physical items to be delivered, and another 5 percent said they purchased other digital content. With music the dominant item purchased, it was not surprising to see that the largest group, 37 percent, spent less than $5 on their individual mobile purchases. The second largest group, 26 percent, opened their mobile wallets to spend more than $20 per mobile purchase.

Shopper Confidence

Respondents also said they were happy to shop from a variety of merchants with 40 percent purchasing from 2-4 vendors in the past month. 24 percent purchased from 5 or more vendors and 12 percent purchased from 10 or more vendors.

mCommerce Drivers

Convenience was the top response with 37 percent of the purchasers. Price was second with 24 percent of the mobile shoppers. A close third at 22 percent was those who shopped from their mobile because of the "cool factor." When looking at just Android users, "convenience" was the top reason for mobile shopping, with 45 percent of Android users citing it.

WWE: Three steps to the "Entertainment" in WWE - report of stands

Catch known better days.

Currently, WWE has only two megastars work full time John Cena and Randy Orton. Recent years have seen the departure of many wrestlers who stood with them at the top. Legendary wrestlers such as Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Chris Jericho and Batista have all finally left WWE while that the Undertaker and semi-retired HHH.

This leaves WWE with only a fraction of the main talent event he enjoyed and the company does not have to replace the lost stars, which led in turn to the boring scenarios and without predictable ceremony. Pushes main event stars as CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio have come to nothing leaving them wadding of deep knee in mid-card.

The reign of the WWE Championship of the MIZ given several WINS dirty on advertisers and was buried by Super Cena at over the limit. So after months of bland TV fans are left with a Superman with no kryptonite and a supposed psychopath dance now after having hit the RKO. Do you wrong, Cena and Orton are two fantastic athletes who get rid their characters well and wrestle good games but because of their lack of competition, RAW and Smackdown now grown stale.

Here are three ways I think that WWE could return to the good old days where watch pro wrestling was entertaining.

Step 1: Get back Batista and Chris Jericho.

I know WWE will try their best to bring these two stars on our screens, but the acquisition of one of these athletes would be huge to the point of view of entertainment.

WWE has build stars to attack Orton and Cena in the main event, which they have failed to do, so bring someone who is already at their level will help to fill the current vacuum.

Jericho and Batista are megastars, they have performed and delivered against some of the best the company has to offer, but more important still, they can hear the masses.

Jericho cut a promo as anyone else cannot and Batista is revealed towards the end of his term he was there with the best. I'd love to see rather Orton vs. Batista and Jericho Mark Henry or The Great Khali and more important, as the vast majority of the fans.

Another advantage of having these two back would be the ability to use them to build new stars. A clean victory over Jericho could propel the MIZ more beyond this rivalry missed with Cena could never.

In addition, the involvement of the stars of their caliber would make the midcard so much more watchable and allows young talent to win against the big names without necessarily being in the image of the title.

Step 2: Push the Midcard Talent.

This is where the WWE has really failed lately.

Wade Barrett came crashing on the title as the top heel of page new scene. He now has to cheat to win a match for the Intercontinental title. CM Punk won not a PPV match for a year and it is without doubt the best all around performer in WWE today. I could continue for hours on botched pushes, but instead, I will propose a solution, let win a few games against good opposition.

An example of a sudden inch which goes very well is Cody Rhodes.

The former lower member of Legacy is now bordering on the stage of the world title, and this has much to do with its rivalry with Rey Mysterio. Mysterio handpicked him as his opponent Wrestlemania and let the Rhodes to win the victory which did wonders for its credibility and its position a superstar and could now be said of the R-truth.

On the other hand, CM Punk loses again and Orton again and is now stuck in a faction of map and resale of Cena and Mysterio fillers which must absolutely no push themselves.

There are many aspects to a star level main event. These athletes have what it takes to be a Champion of the world, but there is one aspect of the status that is subtracting them - victories. To give an example, John Cena and Batista won own against established veterans JBL and HHH respectively for the world titles and Wrestlemania 21. They continued to be two of the greatest stars of the industry.

Let me now move you take in Wrestlemania 27; Barrett, CM Punk, Swagger and Del Rio lose against the experienced veterans and Sheamus was pushed off the coast of the map in total. Imagine where Sheamus and Barrett would today if their matches scheduled with Triple H and the Undertaker had occurred. What happens if the MIZ had beaten Cena clean? What happens if CM Punk had beaten Orton? What happens if Del Rio is Champion of the world right now?

Of course, this is more simplified, the top guys can not just to take a fall upward and come each PPV, neither can heels won the majority of the games on any given night. However, in this business, a victory is what is required to transform a superstar by claiming the championship and this is exactly what WWE must give these athletes. The upcoming money in PPV store could be a start, just look what he did for Edge.

Step 3: Face wrestlers do not always win.

This leads to my previous point; to build a top star of the page, you need him to win, but all the talents mentioned above are stubs. WWE has this fascination currently wrestlers for baby face to win each main event, either on weekly shows or card. Of course, this causes lots of questions.

I understand that in the era of PG, bills have to win. I understand also that the heels may not win all the time but it is necessary for a product that is fun to have a small uncertainty.

Each event WWE for the last six months was far too predictable. The only surprise that WWE launched recently to me was Edge beating Del Rio at Wrestlemania, except that nothing does sources in mind.

If the top guys continue to go undefeated ratings will be fall as there is no entertainment in a competition where you know the right winner from the outset.

Conclusion.

I realize this only bite the surface of the problem and many of my ideas is perhaps just a wish. However, no more than 10 years fan can recognize that the WWE is not entertaining that it used to be.

Let us hope that stars as Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and CM Punk get blocked by Cena the way that Ted DiBiase snr, Jake Roberts, and Mr. perfect was by Hulk Hogan.
